Thinking on the greening design of highway
With the improvement of the national economy and living standard,the highway especially high grade ways construction has a unprecedented development as the infrastructure in recent years.Greening has being paid a great attention day by day as an important component of highway construction.The author puts forward the prominent problem on the current highway greening design according his experiences,such as the different regard on greening,ignoring the greening of spoil area,too much artificial landscaping,the lag of greening construction, improper floristics and wrong allocation.He also formulates the principle,task and suggestion about highway greening design which can be drawing lessons from.

Law of gully erosion of side slope of expressway spoil ground:A case study in constructing Hurongxi Expressway of Hubei Province
In order to made a study of law of development of side slope gully erosion of highway spoil ground,upgrowth characteristic and law of development of gully erosion and realation between intercolparis erosion and gully erosion had been studied in the spoil ground of constructing Hurongxi expressway of Hubei province.The result indicated that gully erosion of spoil ground side slope had an intimate relation with rainfall and gully erosion had occupied increasing proportion in the whole of soil erosion quantity in side slope;development trend of ramp gully erosion of spoil ground was aggravated;with the change of observation time,the amount of rill erosion had occupied dicreasing proportion in the whole ramp soil erosion quantity,whereas relatively bunker erosion and kurf erosion had occupied increasingly proportion in company with time variance.

Experiment and application of sodded strip technique on road side slope protection in intermediate section of Inner Mongolia
Sodded strip is one kind of slope revegetation technique which combines the engineering measures and biologic measures.Sodded strip technique was used on road side slope protection in Xinghe County,Inner Mongolia.This paper described features of sodded strips that were used in the experiment and the operational process as well as application results.This experiment provided reference for application of the technique in similar areas.

Effect of Achnatherum splendens in loessal slope rehabilitation
It is well-known that the soil and water losses in perennial bare land of slope on railway,highway,dams and ridge of field in the Loess Plateau are very rigorous as well as the eco-environment problems.In this paper,we have selected one gramineous plant-Achnatherum splendens Nevski for 10 years to do integrated(exploitation)research in introduction,planting,physiological ecological characters,soil conservation,etc..The results indicated that the plant could bear drought and infertile,resist sand blown by wind and also it had the positive effect to consolidate soil and protect slope.By using 3 planting technical practices involving seed coating bunch planting,planting by rootcuttings,planting by cuttings,Achnatherum splendens Nevski could form dense over-ground parts and extensive roots quickly.Those characters made the plant have the ability to consolidate soil,prevent earth surface runoff and soil erosion.Besides,it protected the eco-security of slope on railway,highway,dams and ridge of field.Achnatherum splendens Nevski and its corresponding planting technical system to slope rehabilitation should be used for the same regions in the western China.

Distribution characteristics of spontaneous recovery plants in micro-environment and selection & disposition of plants for slope revegetation on slope of 108 national highway,Mentougou
In order to make slope revegetation develop in the nature of natural environment,sample plot method was used to investigate the distribution characteristics of spontaneous recovery plants in micro-environment on the slope of 108 national highway,Mentougou District,Beijing.Through the analysis 12 kinds of suitable plants which live in the similar condition with slope environment were found out.Two kinds of typical patterns of plant disposition which can be taken as references by other similar regions were proposed out.

Vegetation rehabilitating techniques and its effects in 207 national highway section of Inner Mongolia
This paper initially analyzed the mechanism of engineering methods before the vegetation rehabilitation work on the shiftting sand dune in 207 national highway section of Inner Mongolia,and it pointed out that engineering methods such as sand barrier make the underlying surface rougher,which is the principal factor(affecting)the settlement of plnat seeds by breaking wind.The experiment shows that after setting the alive Salix gordejevii sand barrier,the roughness of surface increase four hundreds sixty-five to six hundreds forty-three times than original one,greatly weakening the kinetics intensity of wind near surface.As a result,a better living environment has been created for local vegetation,and the survival ratios of Caragana korshinskii,Hedysarum mongolicum,Ulmus Pumila,Hippophae rhamnoides growing within the alive Salix gordejevii sand barrier are twelve percent,nine percent,two percent and five percent respectively more than the comparative samples.Meanwhile,the alive Salix gordejevii sand barrier has also supplied chances for invasion of other plants,and the number of vegetation species within the barrier have increased eleven more than other places.The coverages in it have increased fifty percent to sixty percent,and the biomasses have also increased twenty to twenty-six times than CK.

Analysis of plant diversity of railway cutting slopes in Sichuan Province
Through a comparison of the plant species diversity of different railroad slopes after vegetation restoration(natural or artificial) and the undisturbed slopes,we discovered that the restoration outcome varied with restoration periods,soil matrixes and slope locations.Long restoration periods,or places with loose soil or better aboriginal vegetation tend to produce higher vegetation richness.This demonstrated that the physical and chemical property of the study area's soil as well as the succession pattern of the native community should be taken into consideration when to launch an artificial restoration.Priority should be taken to the indigenous species when choosing the pioneer species,but to introduce foreign species could be useful if the richness of the indigenous species is less in the areas.

Study on the wind velocity of coal gangue pile in growing season in Fuxin mining area,Liaoning Province
The wind velocity variation of different slope directions at coal gangue piles in Sunjiawan was studied with field measurement and statistical analysis.The results showed that the wind velocity of sunny slope(exceeds)shade slope in all growing season to same dumping years.The weakening coefficient of wind velocity to plot A in sunny slope is under 13.67% by plot A in shady slope.The order of wind velocity from big to small is arranged from May,June,July,September,to August.Southwest and southern winds are prevailing in the growth season.

Effect of plant on controlling soil erosion in the process of expressway construction
Taking constructing Hurongxi Expressway of Hubei Province as an example,the effect of different mixture sowing style,different plant species and different plant cover degree on soil erosion had been studied.Study show:Vegetation plays an important role in reducing soil erosion quantity of dumping ground in the process of expressway construction.In research expressway different kinds of mix-seeding vegetation showed a(remarkable)impact on soil erosion: Pattern of mix-seeding vegetation of grass,frutex and arbor had a best effect on reducing soil erosion and pattern of mix-seeding of grass and frutex took second place and pattern of mix-seeding of grass took the last.Besides different pattern of vegetable mix-seeding,plant species had a strong impact on soil erosion.Furthermore,the mix-seeding pattern of grass and frutex Testuca arundinacea+Festuca rubra+Cajanus fulvus DC.+Tephrosia candida(Roxb.) DC.+Crotalaria pallida Ait.had a best effect on reducing soil erosion.In the mix-seeding pattern of grass,frutex and arbor Testuca arundinacea+Festuca rubra+Indigofera pseudotinctoria Mats.+Alnus+Robinia pseudoacacia L.had a strong adaptability to research expressway and a better effect on reducing soil erosion.The research production not only contributes to Hurongxi expressway construction but also to the highway construction of other sites with similar(environmental)condition so as to raises level of expressway ecological construction and accelerate sustainable(development)of west region.

Near natural stream control techniques and its assessment system
Near natural stream control is one of the primary methods to rehabilitate degraded stream ecosystem,it is composed by techniques used in near natural stream control and corresponding stream health assessment system.On the base of analyzing the popular appraisal systems,and to satisfy the non-developed economic condition and complex situations of watersheds in China,the advanced near natural stream control assessment system includes eleven indicators:(1)the plane shape of stream;(2)the profile shape of stream;(3)(water)depth of river;(4)water width of river;(5)the structure of bank slope;(6) current velocity;(7)the(riparian)vegetation width;(8) the touching condition between water and riverbed;(9)coarse woody debris in stream channel;(10)the quality of water;(11)benthonic large invertebral animals.According to different healthy degrees of stream ecosystems,the near natural stream control techniques will be done,and all those(offer)necessary guides to restore the whole stream ecosystems and to scientifically manage water resources in(China.)

Approach to the gunning concrete free-frame protection and spray-seeding revegetation technique
The gunning concrete free-frame protection and spray-seeding revegetation technique were introduced and applied in steep rocky slope in Hunan Province.It was shown that this kind of technique posses the characters not only prevent instability induced by rapid weatherization on slope,revegetate slope by spray-seeding initially,and finally form the landscape covered with a nature nearly vegetation by invasion of indigenous plants in substitution progress,but have high suitability and ratio of benefits to costs.This technique is effective to lots of weathering and half weathering steep rocky slope,and other unstable slope,and should be(extended) widely.

Study on ecological protection technology for lithical side slope in expressway from Linxiang to Changsha,Hunan
For the protection of lithical side slope caused by cutting mountainous body,some traditional measures such as mortar protection and so on,have always been used in constructing the expressway,which results in the ecological vegetation to be unable to restore along the route.In this paper,as an example of a section from Linxiang to Changsha of Jingzhu Expressway to be briefly called as Linchang expressway,an external-soil spray seeding technique to unite with engineering measures and ecological protection has successively been(developed)by testing in the field,of which the applying effects are satisfied through Linchang expressway.The external-soil spray seeding technique has great significance for changing from traditional engineering measures to softly ecological protection.

Greening design of portal part of tunnel and case analysis
The design of tunnel portal has been turned from simple structure design to an organic combination of structure design and greening design.Based on the general design principle of tunnel portal green,the(design)flow chart,the green methods fitting the portal structure and the landscape,a fundamental combination of portal part structure design and greening design,and the design pattern of greening portal part of tunnel were brought out.The design pattern includes the portal position select,portal structure design,optimizing the green methods,the stability of the slopes,and the effect of landscape design,etc.The coherence of the effect of vegetation and the local environment of tunnel and the artistic conception should be considered when we(design)and construct a program.An example of design of portal part which could be taken as a good reference was given in this paper.

Roadside slope protection technology of highway in mountainous area in central Zhajiang Province

Research on vegetation restoration on highway side slope of intermediate section of Inner Mongolia
To discuss the effect of slope protecting with vegetation and afford theoretical and technical references for vegetation restoration and reconstruction on highway side slope,the ecological effects of revegetation on highway side slope was studied based on the restoration ecology principle in supported highway construction project in intermediate section of Inner Mongolia,and the result shows that: 1) the degree of vegetation on highway side slope must be keep to some extent;2) succession of artificial vegetation community on highway side slope can gradually incline to natural community after a lot of years;3) the choice and use of plant species must combine with natural environment in the region;4) vegetation on highway side slope play a prominence role for soil and water conservation.

Comparative study on benefit of ecology revetment technology of urban waterway:A case of Xinkai waterway in Beijing
Abstract In the aspect of slope protecting of urban river regulation,engineering methods of ecological protection were used preliminary.The differences about effects of several protection measures are conspicuous.Through establishing slope vegetation trial plot,the authors adopted some techniques such as liquid spray,ecological vegetation carpet,three-dimensional vegetation net,and analyze economic and ecologic benefits.This paper assessed ecology revetment technique of each measure as well.The result showed that vegetation carpet is an economic and effective one among all the measure.

Application of solid water in afforestation on alluvial flat in the north of Beijing
In order to enhance survival rate of trees planted in difficult sites and reduce sandstorm harm to Beijing,solid water application experiment was carried out for afforestation in the desolate alluvial flat of Longqingxia in Yanqing County of Beijing.Through statistical software S-PLUS,the survival rate and relevant growth indexes of plants were analyzed so as to study the application effect of solid water.The result indicated that in the first three months the solid water can enhance afforestation survival rate prominently which is over 90%.Meanwhile,with the increased employment quantity of solid water,the survival rate and relevant growth indexes of plants increased correspondingly.The slow release of water and constant water supply without leakage make the afforestation technology of solid water more suitable for application in arid areas where irrigation is difficult in production.

Reviews of studies on heavy metals in coal gangues
Having analyzed the heavy metal concentrations in the coal gangue as well as the soil,water,atmosphere and the plants nearby,we have found that: 1) the majority of our countries' coal gangue belongs to the ordinary solid rejects and the heavy mental elements doesn't exceed too much of the standard;2) the coal gangue doesn't have much influence on the soil,water and atmosphere in the neighborhood,neither does it suit cultivating food products;3) most of the vegetables grown on the restored gangues lands contain more heavy metal elements than allowed.

Contrast between bioengineering and masonry structure in slope project
Slope bioengineering and masonry structure engineering are the commonly used types for slope protection.Slope bioengineering has significant protective effect on ecology environment,yet vegetation has complex effect on the stability of slope,it plays both positive and negative roles.Masonry structure can inhibit the erosion of the slope caused by rainstorm,but it has not reinforcing function of the shallow soil.The impact principle of it is to keep the water from slope so as to avoid disaster.The inhibition of erosion provided by vegetation cover is remarkable,and it has reinforced action on the shallow soil.But the limitations of biotechnical slope protection is obvious,and it has the possibility to induce the deep seated landslide.This paper analyzed both effectiveness and shortcoming of bioengineering through mechanical effect and hydrological effect,and it may provide a good reference to find the ideal slope protection measures which can utilize the excellences for both bioengineering and masonry structure.

Investigation of application of bryophyte to road side ecological restoration
Side slops ecological restoration technique has been drawing more and more attentions in resent years,yet it is at a premature stage in our nation with many problems unsolved.This paper systematically analyzed the problems China faced in this field,and summarized the latest research achievements on bryophyte's biological and ecological characteristics.Combined the case study of bryophyte in the railway side slops' natural vegetation near Chendu,Sichuan Province,the paper discussed the benefits as well as the possible disadvantages of using bryophyte in road side slops vegetation restoration.A few approaches of promoting the bryophyte application were suggested too.

Effects assessment and project maintenance after slope revegetation engineering conducted
Slope revegetation technology is widely used in the revegetation engineering of barren slope in(recent)years.The revegetation effect estimation and community maintenance are the theoretical and technical(issues,)which should be resolved as quickly as possible in the practice of slope revegetation engineering in our country.In this paper,the author discussed the necessity of revegetation effect estimation and the significance of following investigation of vegetation community by comparing the development of slope revegetation techniques in China and abroad,which can help the slope revegetation engineering realize its multi-functions.The vegetation community should be maintained and managed effectively towards the revegetation objective,through which the plant community could develop towards the goal community,and the slope vegetation could fully play a multi-functions.

Preliminary study on ecological revegetation of abandoned quarry in Wanshan town
Exploiting the quarries without any planning has broken the landscape of the city surroundings and resulted in serious soil erosion,and caused geological disaster as well.How to deal with these quarries comprehensively is still a serious problem for the local govenment.In 2003,a program of ecological revegetation on an abandoned quarry in Wanshan town,Huzhou city,Zhejiang Province has been put into practice,which adopted both engineering and vegetation methods.In this program,paring the steep slope and nailing net on the slope were done firstly to increase the thickness of artificial soil,and then the plant growth based layer was constructed and the plant seeds were sprayed by hydroseeder,and at last the protecting and managing were done to help the plant recovering.The progress of this program was investigated for the past two years,which showed that this ecological technology could prevent soil erosion and eliminate geological disasters better than simple engineering methods,and revegetate the mining area in short time and improve the original landscape.In some cases,the ecological technology is a good example for other quarries.

On the theory and techniques of eco-environmental harness of opencast mine
The eco-environmental harness of opencast mine has been an important part of ecological restoration in China.Opencast mining has made severe even fatal damages to the mines from its terrains,physiognomy to its soil,rock,and from its ecology scales to its landscape scales.This paper summarized the vegetation restoration technology of mine at present,and discussed the theory concerning eco-environmental harness,and finally pointed out some principles related to landscape for the control of mine eco-environment.

Measurs to assure effect of mine eco-environment control
It is necessary to reconstruct abandoned mines,though there will be many difficulties when conducting.According to the abundant experiences in ecological environment control of abandoned mine,the(author)suggested a series of measures to ensure and to reach the best control effect.Firstly,a considering of comprehensive revegetation work and a suitable design should be made;secondly,proper slope clearing work should be done to stabilize slope,so as to afford a base for vegetation restoration;thirdly,the artificial soil should have proper structure,enough nutrient,good fertilizer and water conservation ability,good anti-erodibilities,and can be sprayed on the slope firmly;fourthly,choosing correct plant species and allocation of them;finally,in the management and maintenance of the artificial vegetation,watering,fertilizing,reseeding,soil mending,and disease or pest control were necessary.By those measures,a stable,harmonious,sustainable plant community in the ecological environment of abandoned mine could be constructed firmly.

Ecological conservation and construction of Shuidan Road rebuilding engineering in Mentougou,Beijing
According to the analysis of basic situation of Shuidan road as well as the ecological destruction and soil erosion which caused by the road construction,this paper studied every link of ecological conservation,such as soil and water conservation,eco-techonology,road route selection,construction organizing,ecoconservation for the project,gathering and drainage equipment,purification of water,rehabilitation,etc..By(deploying)corresponding ecological techniques,the additional soil erosion would be controled effectively,and the landscape along the road would be improved simultaneously.

Slope revegetation methods and its selection
At present,there are no uniform standards or rules about slope revegetation,and series of problems exist in practice.The author proposed some advices to the methods,design and supervision of slope revegetaiton,which were based on long term work experience.In this paper,principles,advantages and disadvantages of different slope revegetation method were addressed in detail,and supervision rules were proposed too.Recovering vegetation and conserving ecosystems should be the final aim of slope revegetation,and adapting the nature with suitable sites for greening should be the main principle.All those can offer conferences for the development of slope revegetation.

Vegetation restoration techniques on opencast mine in Shuwei Mountain of Jianshan Distrct,Haining City,Zhejiang Province
Because of the lack of soil,water,fertilize and hard ecological conditions in rock slope,there are lots of difficulties when planting trees or grasses on the slope.According to the practical situation of slope of opencast mine in Shuwei Mountain,Haining City,Zhejiang Province and the design aim,the authors adopted relevant vegetation restoration technology and measures to use in the different types of local slopes.In planting arrangement,tree,shrub and grass were introduced together forming mixed construction to achieve the aim of promoting each other.And when choicing plant species,the local plant species would be taken proority in(order)to assort with natural environment and to get the effect of greening similar with nature.At the same time,the authors proposed relevant construction establishment and engineering technology measures which would be adopted to satisfy the slope protection and greening.

Choice and establishment ways of plant in implementing medium-spraying technique
In artificial construct process,particularly in the practices of highway,railroad,mining,water conservancy,mountainous architectures,different types of rock slope were formed.,The medium spray technique is currently in common use to recover the ecosystem of plant in rock slope,In order to achieve the goal of building objective community,we need to research the natural environment including weather,soil,vegetation,and analyse the characteristics of the slope,such as the landform of the slope,slope gradients,and the stability.In choosing the target plant,the priciples of ecosystem adaptability,pioneering,harmonizing,resistance to severe factors,as well as self maintaining,bio-diversity,sustainable stability etc.should be satisfied.The revegetation should adopt a combination of direct seeding and tree planting to help the steady rehabilitation on the rock slope.

On the construction of innovative three-dimensional gardening landscape in cities
Development of industrialization and citification has led to more and more serious environment pollution problems.In order to reduce pollution and construct landscape ecological city which is similar to garden,a construction model which was based on the innovation idea of city three-dimensional gardening landscape was brought out.In this paper,the conception,and characters of innovation city three-dimensional gardening landscape were analyzed,and an overall arrangement which is an organic combination of above factors were brought forward.All of those suggestions are expected to be taken on the construction of green landscape ecological city in the process of urbanization in china.

Application of landscape technique to eco-conservation projects in mountainous regions of northern Beijing
Aiming at the problems of landscape in ecological,scenic and recreational forests,the application of landscape techniques to eco-conversation projects in the mountainous regions was discussed.The Fengxiangu ecological trial garden,which locates in Yanqing county in the northern Beijing,was taken as an example to be analyzed.The study results can provide a valuable reference for similar landscape construction in eco-conversation projects in mountainous areas.

Landscape characteristics of 111 national highway of Beijing section
This paper discussed several composing element of landscape including the road line type,plant(allocation,)traffic plot and other structures,and the connected way with the surrounding environment,based on the brief analysis of the characteristics of artistic landscape and ecological landscape of Beijing section of 111 national highway.The authors believe that respecting to the thought of people first,and then meeting the prepequisite of the traffic function of road construction,and combining the landscape and ecology of the road can create a beautiful environmental landscape in the section.
