2020 Editor-in-Chief Meeting of Science of Soil and Water Conservation (SSWC) was held in the Beijing on November 8. The Vice President of Chinese Society of Soil and Water Conservation, Academia CUI Peng, Prof. LIU Guobin, and Prof. WANG Yujie attended the meeting. The Deputy Secretary General of Chinese Society of Soil and Water Conservation, Mr. DING Lijian hosted the meeting, and the Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors-in-Chief, and all editorial staff attended the meeting. The meeting was done in both online and offline.

Associate Editor-in-Chief, Prof. ZHU Qingke, summarized and reported the work of the 4th Editorial Board of the SSWC during 2016 -2019.  Prof. LIU Xiaomin from the National Science Library, Chinese Academy of Science gave the presentation on the CSCD services and selection of source journals. Editor-in-chief Prof. ZHOU Xincheng deployed the coming tasks of the SSWC. The experts in the meeting discussed the orientation of the SSWC, the improvement of academic quality, the optimization of review process and the future development of the SSWC.

Five papers were assessed as excellent according to the regulations (trial) of assessing the excellent paper in SSWC.
