Recently, the academic journal of Science of Soil and Water Conservation (SSWC) supervised by the Chinese Society of Soil and Water Conservation has been accepted for inclusion in Scopus after inspection by CSAB (Content Selection & Advisory Board) of Scopus. This indicates that the SSWC has been recognized by international community in aspects of academic level and publishing standardization.

The inclusion in the Scopus database will greatly increase the visibility and downloads of the published articles in SSWC, promote the international popularity and influence of the SSWC, and establish the channel of communication with international mainstream academic platforms. It is of great significance to further enhance the academic influence of the SSWC.

Scopus database is launched by the well-known international publisher Elsevier, covering 4 areas 27 subjects, and at present is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature (academic journals, books, and conference collections). Compared to other abstracts and citation databases, the contents in the Scopus database are more complete and the subjects are broader, covering natural sciences, technology, engineering, medicine, social sciences, arts and humanistic disciplines, etc.
