Abstract: 【Purpose/significance】Social network analysis is a quantitative analysis method developed by sociologists according to
mathematical methods,graph theory and so on.This paper analyzes the relationship between the social network analysis method and the research theme of Library and Information Science.【Method/process】This paper uses the terminology in the social network field as search terms,collects papers from CNKI which apply social network analysis methods in Library and Information Science,and conducts correlation analysis on the research topics,research tools,data types and social network analysis indicators used in the papers to reveal the connection between them【. Result/conclusion】The study shows that when domestic scholars in the field of library and information science use social network analysis methods,the research topics,research tools and data types they use are all in a centralized and de? centralized state.In addition,because of the different research topics and different concerns,there are also some differences in the social network analysis indicators used in the papers.【Innovation/limitation】This paper focuses on revealing the potential relationship be? tween network analysis measurement indicators and research topics; besides,the research tools and data source types are also con? cerned in this paper,but there is no in-depth mining on the specific problems that the research tools are used to solve.
