This essay analyzed the reason and essence of generation and usage of proposition ——“archives can be destroyed”, pointed where self-contradiction is. And we can use the proposition——“records which have no preservation value can be destroyed” replace the proposition——“archives can be destroyed”. The destruction of “records which have no preservation value” should be carefulness, “records which have reference value rather than preservation value” should not be destroyed, but should be called “archives cancellation”.
