【Purpose/significance】 In order to provide reference for service providers to improve products and services, the paper ex⁃

plores the actual needs of users for the performance of personal digital information preservation platforms and puts forward the optimi⁃zation idea of platform design and development.【Method/process】 Through in-depth interviews to obtain the original data, using a bottom-up coding method to extract and sum up the specific indicators used to evaluate the personal digital information preservation platform. After user rating, the index weights are calculated by AHP combined with SPSSUA, a data analysis tool.【Result/conclusion】The usability evaluation of personal digital information preservation platform based on user's perspective consists of 8 first-level in⁃dexes, including security, inclusiveness, economy, ease-of-use, time-limit, flexibility and efficiency, interactivity, aesthetics (ranked by weight from highest to lowest) and 25 second-level indexes, among them, the weight value of the related index of "Preservation" is higher.【Innovation/limitation】 The concept of "usability" is introduced into the research of personal digital information preservation platform. The evaluation index system is different from other types of platform usability evaluation, which is the enrichment and devel⁃opment of the existing general principles of usability. There are some limitations in this research on refining the type of users and plat⁃forms.
