Abstract: 【Purpose/significance】In order to grasp the research trends of International Information Science and promote the research
and disciplinary development of Chinese Information Science.【Method/process】This paper collects the bibliography data of the
ASIS&T conference papers from 2002 to 2019, and uses statistical analysis, social network analysis, and manual study to analyze the
research trend of International Information Science and the characteristics of Chinese Information Science.【Result/conclusion】Chi?
nese Information Science is actively participating in the international academic community, but the international development level of
different institutions is still uneven; in the past 18 years, International Information Science research has gone through three develop?
ment stages of "digitalization", "socialization" and "datalization". Data and users are the most important research directions of current
International Information Science; Chinese Information Science focuses on the research and application of information technology and
informetrics, and should strengthen data governance and information user research in the future.【Innovation/limitation】This paper an? alyzes the research characteristics and development trends of Chinese Information Science from the perspective of International Infor? mation Science based on bibliography data of the ASIS&T conference papers. However, the ASIS&T conference is only a representa? tive of International Information Science scholarly communication, and the analysis results may have bias.
