sure, and strengthen the protection awareness of personal information security.【Method/process】This paper defines personal informa-tion and personal privacy, and further studies the protection measures of personal information and personal privacy under the back-ground of big data from the harm caused by personal privacy disclosure in the generation, collection and utilization of personal informa-tion.【Result/conclusion】From the current situation of national laws and regulations on personal information security and privacy pro-tection, this paper combs out the characteristics and outstanding problems of personal information protection in China. In order to make the country issue the legal system of "personal information protection law" and "personal privacy protection law" as soon as pos-sible, this paper puts forward its own views and suggestions.【Innovation/limitation】This paper only analyzes the protection of per-sonal information and personal privacy from the theoretical level, and then the next research will go deep into the technical research.
