Strengthening the construction of enterprise archives institutional system is the inevitable requirement of enterprise governance modernization and archives governance modernization. This paper analyzes the new background and challenges of improving construction of enterprise archives institutional system and introduces the practices of CNPC on top-level design, content construction, governance mechanism and so on. Based on the case study, this paper summarizes four enlightenments for enterprise to improve archives institutional system construction under the new situation. The first is system design based on strategic thinking, the second is system construction based on systematic thinking, the third is system implementation based on the rule of law thinking, the fourth is system change based on open thinking.
