适老化背景下老年用户App隐私偏好实证研究 ——基于离散选择实验

摘要: 【目的/意义】针对适老化背景下的老年用户隐私安全问题,探究和量化老年用户在App使用过程中的隐私 偏好,为适老化App的隐私功能设计提供启示与参考。【方法/过程】构建了适老化背景下老年用户App隐私偏好研 究模型,采用离散选择实验方法,基于混合Logit模型和潜在类别模型,挖掘和揭示老年用户在App使用过程中的隐 私偏好特征。【结果/结论】结果显示,App的隐私保护程度、信息透明度、信息理解和隐私设置对老年用户的隐私偏 好具有显著影响,信息获取的影响则不显著,由此从贴合生理机能、建立信任连接、加强隐私教育等层面,提出适老 化App隐私保护优化建议。【创新/局限】基于离散选择实验为适老化背景下隐私保护体验研究提供了新的思路,根 据实证结果提出相应的功能改进建议,为隐私保护功能设计的适老化改造提供了理论支撑。未来还可改进离散选 择模型,基于偏好异质性的属性水平展开更加深入的实证研究。

Abstract: 【Purpose/significance】Aiming at the privacy and security of elderly users in the context of aging, we explore and quantify the privacy preferences of elderly users in the process of App usage, so as to provide insights and references for the design of privacy functions of aging-adapted Apps.【Method/processes】A research model of privacy preferences of elderly users′ Apps in the context of ageing is constructed, and discrete choice experiment is used to mine and reveal the privacy preference features of elderly users in the process of App usage based on mixed logit model and latent class model.【Result/conclusion】The results indicate that the level of App privacy protection, information transparency, information understanding and privacy settings have a significant effect on the pri⁃ vacy preferences of elderly users, while the effect of information acquisition is not significant. Based on these findings, suggestions for optimizing privacy protection in age-Appropriate Apps are proposed, encompassing aspects such as aligning with physiological func⁃ tions, establishing trust connections, and enhancing privacy education.【Innovation/limitation】Based on the discrete choice experi⁃ ment, a new idea is provided for the study of privacy protection experience in the context of aging, and corresponding functional im⁃ provement suggestions are made based on the empirical results, which provide theoretical support for the aging adaptation of privacy protection function design. Future research can improve the discrete choice model to carry out more in-depth empirical research based on the attribute level of preference heterogeneity.
