Abstract: 【Purpose/significance】Aiming to further enrich the research on health information avoidance behavior, this research re?
veals the causes and behavior patterns of information avoidance of people with sports injuries. Moreover, this research helps people to examine their health information behaviors and reduce the negative effects of health information avoidance behaviors.【Method/pro? cess】This research firstly utilized semi-structured interview to obtain the key incidents about health information avoidance of 30 people with sports injuries. Secondly,Nvivo12 software was introduced to make coding analysis. Finally, the relevant theoretical model was constructed based on SOR theory.【Result/conclusion】In the process of sports injury, people's health information avoidance be? havior is mainly affected by affective-cognitive, situational factors and information factors. People's health information avoidance be? havior patterns include health information access avoidance, health information absorption avoidance and health information utiliza? tion avoidance.【Innovation/limitation】In terms of sample selection, it is necessary to expand the research object with richer social characteristics; In terms of research content, on the basis of this study, multiple research methods such as qualitative and quantitative methods can be integrated to deeply explore the causal relationship between influencing factors and behavior patterns of health infor? mation avoidance behavior.
