In order to construct the memory of archival discipline development in Zhengzhou University and enrich the research of Chinese archival scholars, this research uses the methods of literature research and interview method to comprehensively sort out and systematically summarize the research results of Wang Jinyu's archival science, and explore the formation background and development stage of Wang Jinyu's thought on Chinese archival history. Then, this study summarizes its main contents and important characteristics, analyzes and evaluates its main contributions and limitations, and at the same time, this paper expounds its guiding value and enlightening significance to the current Chinese archival history and even archival science research. In this way, we hope to honor the memory of teacher Wang Jinyu and to inspire or promote the research of Chinese archival history.
