Abstract: Any practical document has its own fixed writing style, which is gradually inherited from the writing experience from ancient times till now. The writing styles of various practical instruments in Western Xia are also formed by learning. In order to better understand and master the styles of the practical instruments of Western Xia, based on the actual instruments handed down or unearthed, this paper makes a concrete and comprehensive study on the functions and styles of Western Xia's XuBaBei instruments, such as preface, postscript, vows, inscriptions, epitaphs, etc., and summarizes their general forms for learners to use.
