Communication and Cooperation: Interaction and Enlightenment in the Field of Digital Humanities and Archives in the United States

Abstract: The study of digital humanities in the United States was initiated earlier and has frequent interactions with the archival community.By combing the cooperation history of digital humanities and archival community in the United States, grasping the research trends and development environment of the two fields, and summarizing the influence of digital humanities on the three dimensions of archival theory research, archives business practice and archives education and training in the United States. At the same time, China archival community can learn from American experiences: draw and integrate digital humanistic ideas from the ideological layer, carry out the infrastructure construction of“archives + digital humanities”from the business level, focus on the cultivating the digital humanities quality of archival talents from the talent level, and builds characteristic digital humanities centers related to archives from the platform level.
