Abstract：This paper discussed the property of the artificial soil used for rock side slope revegetation and its position in soil classification.The advantages and disadvantages of the common artificial soil configuration patterns like thick-bedded base materials and vegetation concretes in high-steep rock side slope greening were analyzed.The leading methods and existing problems in present artificial soil reconstruction were pointed out.Both the agricultural technology characteristics such as aggregation,water retention property and fertilizer conservation ability and the engineering technology characteristics such as dependency and stability were(explained.) The prospects of artificial soil reconstruction in rock side slope revegetation were also depicted.
