Abstract: 【Purpose/significance】The construction of a knowledge organization model for South China Sea territory rights literature based on evidentiary knowledge elements aims to deeply reveal and effectively relate the content of evidence, promote the in-depth de⁃ velopment and utilization of evidence knowledge in South China Sea territory rights literature, and serve the national South China Sea strategy【. Method/process】Through the analysis of the background environment of the South China Sea territory rights field and the in⁃ vestigation of the current research status of South China Sea territory rights literature, the study starts from the practical needs and ex⁃ isting problems of knowledge organization in South China Sea territory rights literature, clarifying the objectives and principles of knowledge organization in the field of South China Sea territory rights literature. Based on the knowledge organization thinking of li⁃ brary and information science and the method of semantic association, a knowledge organization framework and implementation path for the field of South China Sea territory rights literature are constructed, focusing on the knowledge unit—the knowledge element per⁃ spective. The study expands on the description, extraction, association, and knowledge service of the evidence knowledge elements in South China Sea territory rights literature【. Result/conclusion】The research delves into the knowledge units within the literature con⁃ tent, organizing knowledge from the level of documents to the granularity of knowledge elements. It explores the rules and methods of knowledge organization in South China Sea territory rights literature, forming a theoretical framework and methodological system for knowledge organization in South China Sea territory rights literature. This provides an expandable, promotable, and feasible specific implementation path and means for knowledge organization in the rights field, serving the national South China Sea strategy, and also providing theoretical guidance for the organization of literature related to maritime, border, and rights areas.【Innovation/limitation】 The framework of the South China Sea territorial rights protection literature knowledge organization model based on evidence knowl⁃ edge elements proposed in this article can deeply reveal the content of literature, finely describe the complex relationships between knowledge units, explore the unified framework and systematic method of knowledge organization of South China Sea territorial rights protection literature, and achieve automatic extraction and reasonable organization of fine-grained knowledge. Further empirical re⁃ search is needed to demonstrate the rationality of the model and the effectiveness of the knowledge organization process.
