Abstract: The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum(ALPLM) are very popular institutions in charge of presidential archives. Summarizing their experience in innovative practice of fusion service will help provide valuable reference for the development of LAM fusion in China. Using case analysis method, analyze fusion innovation of ALPLM from three aspects of service information, knowledge and cultural innovation; analyze the supporting factors behind its fusion innovation from four aspects mission orientation, organizational support system, financing mode and cross-border cooperation. The implications of ALPLM’s innovative practice of fusion service for LAM in China can be summarized into four aspects owning collections of the same theme is the prerequisites for LAM fusion service innovation; general public is the starting point and ultimate goal of LAM fusion service innovation; cooperation based on professional division of labor is an important way to achieve LAM fusion service innovation; the appropriate participation of private capital is an effective method to promote LAM fusion service innovation.
