Aiming at analyzing the current electronic as-built drawings editing patterns, this paper records the current situation and the original pattern of editing as-built drawings and provides the feasibility and the meaning of exploiting modern technologies to it. It states the steps of editing electronic as-built drawings which is charged by the design company and co-worked by other participating companies. By demonstrating the methods and policies of making as-built drawings, it is of significant importance to many fields, such as renewing the ideas of as-built drawings, protecting the intellectual property rights and promoting archival service ability.
