With the establishment of modern democratic government in 1912, the mechanism writ and archives work were obviously different from traditional classical file work in the period of the Republic of China, and most essential points were to reflect terminology system of new contents in modern file work. While the term usage of mechanism file work is gradually become reasonable and normative, and most of terms are continue to use in mechanism archives work after the founding of China. So this article lists service condition of a few basic terms by mechanism writ and archives work systematically in the period of the Republic of China, and here by illustrates modernize transition and development achievements of traditional file institution.
