Abstract: Despite the reasonable classification of official document types in party and governmental organizations, there are still some spaces to get it improved in operation. The current official document types are numerous in classification, interwoven in denotation, overlapped in function and imbalance in direction. It is suggested that official document types should be decreased steadily, the scope of application should be clearly defined, the style of writing should be clarified, and the direction of writing should be balanced. By putting forward suggestions on the establishment and use of the official documentary types, we will continue to strengthen the function of the genre and give full play to the utility of official documents, and provide necessary professional support and specific reference for the construction of official documents now and in the future.
