Based on macro-view research for decades on preservation of Dongba manuscripts, the practical solution is still limited even though few theoretical guideline has been offered and the future research is facing a new and deep update both from horizontal to vertical line. Thus, this paper tends to set the dynamic working staff as researching target and regards those Dongba manuscript preservation executors as researching object so to make a full scale research on their preservative operation. The paper probes the reasons to pick preservation executors as research object, and makes a complete analysis on the contemporary operation situation of preservation from working staffs’ viewpoints, then points out the main and fundamental content of operational ecology through some professional methods, in order to discuss the theoretical and practical values whenever the operational ecology for preservation executor would be committed.
