Nowadays, new requirements are needed for the archival science education in the information age. The traditional and closed teaching mode, which cultivated the unitary type talents, is no longer satisfy the demand of employing units. Consequently, the archival talents structural shortage emerges. With the social professional market demand orientation, that training those to adapt to the demand and turn into “expert and compound talents” in information age is become the goal of archival science education. Based on the present professional development situation of archival science, it analyzes the problems existing in the archival talent training, and makes the prospect of archival science development and talent training in the information age. In the end, some specific measures are suggested in this article, just like innovate talent training mode, restructure course module, adjust admission structure and update teaching plans and so on.
