Archival science is a practical subject with highly application. From the aspect of dialectical relations of theory comes from practice and apply theory to practice, the major subject who mainly carry out the work of theoretical research should be archivists. By comparison of quantity of the articles of archivists and universities professional teachers in the year of 2010 and 2011, this article demonstrates that archivists actually play as a supporting role, and it analyzes reasons why archivists lies in such a situation. At last, it seeks for a way out that could change the current situation from following two aspects: archivists themselves and external environment.
