In the period of Ming and Qing Dynasty,bamboo paper was widely used in writing and printing. And now,it is also a very important and burdensome work for archival and ancient books restoration. While the lack of quality bamboo paper for restoration becomes a problem that crying out for solution. According to our survey,some places in Fujian,Jiangxi and Zhejiang provinces are still producing bamboo paper that fit for archival and ancient books restoration,which should be in addition protected and supported. Yet there also exists some other problems today,such as the under-emphasize of bamboo paper,the decline of bamboo paper quality,the disconnection between production,supply and marketing,and with no successor.
