The article first concludes the achievements and significances of rescue work to the national significant archives—archives of the Republic of China since the rescue work started, the achievements including strengthen the awareness, invest funds, training of personnel and improve the custodial and protective condition, etc. And it summarizes experience and lessons of lack of schemes, capital scarcity, lowly technical skills, and damages take place and lack of standardization when the work of arrangement is proceeding. Then it puts forward views of strengthen schemes, increase input, rescue archives scientifically, protect ecosystem archives, excavate archive treasures and urge digitization. Only in this way can realize the goal of taking measures in multi-ways and pluralism on the basis of science in rescue work to archives of the Republic of China.
