This article mainly lists and summarizes the current situation of theory and practice of archival work systematically in the digital age from following five aspects: the meaning and the characteristic of the digital age, new changes in connotation of archival work in the digital age, new contents in practice of archival work in the digital age, new discusses in theory of archival work in the digital age and new responsibilities of archivists in the digital age. The purpose is to reduce the confusion of blurred vision when the 12th Five-Year Plan is about to establish, and better sort out the train of next step thought, ultimately provide reference for grasping the future development direction scientifically.
