Abstract:

The cellulose acetate-based films are more than other kinds of films in the preservation of the archives. However, the information on these materials is subject to damage because of the storage environment and the materials itself, such as the acetic acid syndrome, the moldy, the fade and scratches etc. Therefore, it is important to choose suitable preservation conditions for the cellulose acetate-based films. Based on the effect of the storage environment and the materials on the film, the paper discusses the suitable preservation conditions for the cellulose acetate-based films.
