The scientific journal "Science of Soil and Water Conservation ", initiated in 2003, conscientiously implements the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education and sustainable development. It relies on scientific and technological professionals across the China to exchange new advances, achievements and ideas in soil and water conservation science, technology and development. It aims to contribute to the development of professionals in soil and water conservation, and to provide theoretical basis and technical guidance for ecological construction and desertification control in China.
This journal carries forward the spirit of innovation, maintains academic integrity and resists academic misconducts, strengthens the construction of editorial and review team, and strictly abides by publication ethics.
Author Responsibilities and Rights
Author(s) should and comply with China's relevant regulations and policy requirements. Author(s) must ensure that the content of the submitted manuscript is authentic and free of plagiarism, falsification, tampering, improper signature, multiple submissions, repeated publication, violation of research ethics, and any other academic misconduct.
Review Experts’ Responsibilities and Rights
This journal implements peer review of at least 2 experts for each manuscript. The whole review process is in the Magtech system approved by the state. Any review comment is stored in the system. The system does not allow the selection of experts who have conflicts of interest with the author(s) for review.
The review experts are all the top experts in the national soil and water conservation field. They can make scientific, rigorous, objective and fair evaluations of manuscripts and keep what they read confidential. They will inform the editorial board if review experts realize that there is any academic misconduct in the manuscript.
Editorial Team’s Duties and Rights
The editorial team shall process the manuscripts objectively and fairly in accordance with the purpose and requirements of this journal, encourage discussion and contention of different academic opinions, and select outstanding manuscripts that meet the requirements of this journal for publication.
The editorial team uses China CNKI's "Science and Technology Journal Academic Misconduct Literature Detection System" to screen and detect manuscripts, and rejects manuscripts with redundancy rate > 8%.
Copyright, Ownership and Management
Author(s) are already informed in the submission guidelines that review fees are required while processing starts after the acceptance of a manuscript. Article, which can be published after experts’ review and editor-in-chief review, are technically processed, modified, abridged, and eliminated by the editorial team; and the content can be modified if necessary.
Author(s) should pay the publishing fee before publication, and the editorial team and author(s) are in accordance with the "Copyright Law of the People's Republic of China", the article copyright transfer agreement "Paper Copyright Transfer Letter" is signed to protect the rights of authors and publishers. After the article is published, in accordance with the relevant national regulations, a one-time payment from the editorial team is paid to first author, and 2 copies of the journal in which the article is published and 10 sample copies of the article are posted to first author too.
Dealing with Academic Misconduct
The editorial team will investigate the reports on any academic misconduct related of this journal according to the national standard CY/T174-2019 “Academic Publishing Specification: Definition of Academic Misconduct for Journals” under the supervising of Chinese Society of Soil and Water Conservation and China Association for Science and Technology.
Manuscripts with misconduct will be rejected. Authors, authors’ research group, and author’s affiliation will be informed according to the situation. As long as any published article is verified that there is academic misconduct, the editorial team will issue a statement of retracting the article on the paper version and website of this journal, and delete the data of the article in the relevant databases to terminate the article propagation.
