Abstract The utilization of rainwater resource is one of the effective approaches to alleviate water shortage and improve urban water environment. This paper summarized the development situation of some rainwater utilization technologies. According to the specific circumstances of Tianjin, rainwater utilization prospects were analyzed, and some issues needing to be further improved were put forward. Based on the analysis, some suggestions were provided for determining the development direction of the relevant technology of rainwater utilization.
