Abstract We have drawn three conclusions through three-year experiment with the ecological restoration of the strength eroded slopes of strong-weathered granite along Baolong Highway in Yunnan Province: firstly, the slope vegetation is in the process of progressive succession towards broadleaved mixed forest with constructive species of Alnus nepalensis ; secondly, the construction technologies of thin substrate and geocell are suitable for ecological restoration on strength eroded slopes of strong-weathered granite ; thirdly Alnus nepalensis,Lndigofera amblyantha,Eragrostis pilosa,Setaria viridis are suitable species for ecological restoration on strength eroded slope of strong-weathered granite along Baolong Highway.
