Abstract In recent years,soil loss induced by development and construction projects is more and more serious,and it is very important to monitoring this situation.Soil loss monitoring on development and construction projects has been a vital part of soil and water conversation monitor work in China.In this paper,advances on monitoring techniques of development and construction projects soil losses were overviewed.The difficulties and key techniques to be overcome were proposed,and the future perspectives of monitoring techniques were discussed.
