Abstract Non-security of water resources is facing one of the most serious problems in 21 century.Based on Plan of Ant River Watershed Ecological Design and Monitoring, the spatial and temporal distribution of water resources in the basin,the contradiction between supply and demand,water pollution and flooding are recognized,and the non-harmony,the non-health and non-safety aspects are analyzed.Some problems,including the destruction to vegetation,soil erosion,overcapacity of water resource,point and non-point pollution are put forward.Some recommendations on integrated watershed management are presented.
