Abstract：Based on the fields survey and measured data obtained from the slope-spots and gauge stations of silt-runoff, the analyses on the erosion mechanism, development and the modulus of sediment yield of the deferent types of gullies in the granite areas have been conducted, and some qualitative models have been established. The results show that the section on the convex slope is apt to the gullies development, and the protective measures should be focus on the slope. The modulus of sediment yield of collapsing hill-gullies can reach 60 000 -100 000 t/km2·a, which would be critical problem , and some protective measures for the collapsing hill-gullies control should be urgent carried out.
