Abstract:Studying on soil saturated hydraulic conductivity(Ks) characteristics of different measurements for vegetation restoration in mountain area of southern Ningxia will provide scientific basis for evaluating different measurements for vegetation restoration and discussing mechanism. There measurements for vegetation restoration were beneficial to improve Ks.Ks on 0-5 cm were improved most obviously.Values of Ks quickly reduced with depth under different communities.Ks was directly affected by soil organic matter(SOM) and capillary porosity. There was linear correlation between SOM and Ks in three measurements for vegetation restoration. The higher the content of SOM,the faster Ks increase. The accumulation of SOM was driving force for Ks. So enclosed meadows was the best measure for improvement of Ks and eclolgical restoration.
