Abstract: 【Purpose/significance】Open public data is the primary task in the development of big data in China, and it is one of the im⁃ portant research fields to empower the new era. Therefore, this paper reviews the research of open public data, and finds popular re⁃ search topics and analysis and predicts the evolutionary trends of topic popularity on public data open research.【Method/process】In this paper, the deep learning model BERTopic is used to identify topics. This paper analyzed the classification, correlation and distri⁃ bution of open public data research, and sorts out the research themes that are rising and slowing down.【Result/conclusion】The re⁃ search at home and abroad in the stage of public data open governance and practice showed a trend of increasing and slowing down, while the research enthusiasm in the stage of public data open construction and empowerment continues to rise.Compared with foreign popular research topics, there is still a lack of attention in several fields such as "open innovation", "data reuse" and "data quality" in China. Research fields such as "demand of open public data", "data value release", and "establishment of a unified data market" which around the open public data users will become hot research topics.【Innovation/limitation】The research analyzed the topics of open public data research at home and abroad, which is helpful to clarify the distribution and popularity evolution trend of open public data research topics. But this paper only sorts out and predicts the literature related to open public data for the research theme, and can be further expanded to combing research methods, research perspectives, and research fields in the future.
