Abstract: 【Purpose/significance】Red resources are valuable assets for strengthening ideals and beliefs and inheriting the red gene. The new generation of information technology has brought new opportunities for their development and utilization. This paper aims to explore the value mining and educational application paths of red resources under the support of large language models, helping to cul⁃ tivate a new generation capable of shouldering the great responsibility of national rejuvenation.【Method/process】Based on reviewing the current research status of red resource development and large model application, this study constructs a value mining framework system for red resources based on large language models. It also designs different application scenarios and implementation paths for integrating red resources into ideological and political education in colleges and universities.【Result/conclusion】The value mining framework of red resources based on large language models covers key modules such as red resource integration, knowledge graph con⁃ struction, knowledge reasoning, and intelligent applications, enabling the mining of revolutionary knowledge patterns and the highlight⁃ ing of their value. For ideological and political education in colleges and universities, the designed intelligent educational applications of red resources driven by large models help expand the breadth and depth of ideological and political education, providing a solid cul⁃ tural nourishment for cultivating builders and successors of socialism. 【Innovation/limitation】The innovation of this research lies in pioneering a new paradigm of intelligent management and value mining of red resources driven by large language models and propos⁃ ing an end-to-end solution for the development and utilization of red resources for education.
