Abstract In order to provide scientific basis of protection, rehabilitation and exploitation and utilization in reason for eco-system in Karst Mountain Region, by identifying characteristics of the region, five aspects including diversity and vulnerability, capability, biologic productivity and biomass, sensitivity and carrying capacity of disaster were analyzed emphatically, and frangibility characteristics were expatiated. Based on needs of eco-environment conservation in West exploitation in China and needs of economic and social sustainable development, the countermeasures and directions on eco-system conservation of Karst Mountain Region in Guizhou were put forward.
