Abstract Once there were serious hidden geological hazards in building construction in countryside.Because many country buildings were constructed in the geological hazards zones of landslide,collapse and debris flow,without thinking of the selection of the building locations scientifically.During the construction of the New Countrysides,we should select the building locations scientifically and spurn the uncultured modes before.Surveying and evaluating the geological circumstance and the present situation of geological hazards at the places.These places should be categorized according to the hazards assessment and groundwork circumstance.We should select the groundwork circumstance of type Ⅰas the new building locations.And the excellent groundwork circumstance of type Ⅱ is also permitted if the type Ⅰis not enough for construction.The environment should be protected,the slopes should be strengthened while excavating,.and the possible geological hazards should be prevented in time.
