Abstract To promote soil erosion control and ecological construction in an all around way, implement scientific development concept, enhance ecological and economic sustainable development and realize development goal of constructing comfortably off society in an all around way, Ministry of Water Resources, China Academy of Sciences and China Academy of Engineering decide to carry out "comprehensive investigation on soil erosion and ecological security in China ". Its overall plan outlines is introduced, including investigation scale, purples, tasks, principle, desired results, work content and schedule planning, division of investigation group, monographic study and conciliation and management of investigation work.
