Abstract In order to provide scientific basis for vegetation rehabilitation in basin area of Guanting Reservoir, in Shangxinzhuang small watershed, which is located on the Dayushu town in Yanqing county in Guishuihe river basin of Guanting Reservoir, the soil pounding infiltration experiments in different vegetation coverages were done and the experimental data were simulated by four infilitration models. Through analyzing and comparing, the law of soil infiltration in different vegetation coverage was found, the applicability and veracity using Костякоь, Horton, General Experimental formula and Philip model were evaluated.
