Abstract:The test of ecological restoration with the emphasis on biological measure was done to improve the current situation of serious soil and water loss at typical spoil slope of Pingcheng Road in Pinggu County.The results show that some steps can effectively promote the restoration of vegetation and improve ecological landscape environment of road, including protection and utilization of the existing Platycladas orientalis,moderate leveling of slope combined with the current level of formation, setting the wire stone cage and ecological vegetation bags, and covering soil on spoil slope. There are obvious effects in one year after implementation. The vegetation coverage of slope has increased to 75%.Spoil slope surface had been achieved the security and stability, and soil and water loss has been effectively controlled. It would be taken as references for a similar slope ecological restoration.
