Abstract：Road construction in Xinjiang desert region is easily to cause soil erosion. To prevent from it, the natural and soil erosion conditions are introduced. Based on analyzing the reason for causing soil erosion, combining with the characteristics of road project itself, the countermeasures of preventing soil erosion in project design, project construction and organization and management are put forward.
