Abstract：As the problem of soil erosion and desertification becoming more and more seriously in China,there are a lot of universities and/or colleges have been taking Soil and Water Conservation as a professional course for the specialties which related with soil and water conservation and desertification combating,such as Environment,Resource,Geology,Agronomy,etc.Facing lack of the basic knowledge that related to soil and water conservation for students whose specialties are connected with soil and water conservation,it is a big challenge for teaching this course within such few teaching hours but so many contents of course.This paper gives only some primary suggestions on the teaching methods and contents of course arrangement based on author's teaching experiences in recent years.The teaching practices of this course showed that the teaching reform and practices in this course are successful.
