Abstract：In order to made a study of law of development of side slope gully erosion of highway spoil ground,upgrowth characteristic and law of development of gully erosion and realation between intercolparis erosion and gully erosion had been studied in the spoil ground of constructing Hurongxi expressway of Hubei province.The result indicated that gully erosion of spoil ground side slope had an intimate relation with rainfall and gully erosion had occupied increasing proportion in the whole of soil erosion quantity in side slope;development trend of ramp gully erosion of spoil ground was aggravated;with the change of observation time,the amount of rill erosion had occupied dicreasing proportion in the whole ramp soil erosion quantity,whereas relatively bunker erosion and kurf erosion had occupied increasingly proportion in company with time variance.
