Abstract At present, surgery, systemic chemotherapy, thoracic radiotherapy and prophylactic cranial irradiation have been widely recognized to treat the limited-stage small cell lung cancer. In recent decades, no significant breakthrough has been reached in drug therapy. In the field of radiotherapy, the timing, target volume, mode of dose fractionation and prophylactic cranial irradiation are the hot issues. In this article, the research progress on the dose and the mode of dose fractionation for limited-stage small cell lung cancer was briefly analyzed.
