Abstract The tourism island as the major tourism destination in Fujian Province,is attracted by tourists of all ages because of its a unique attractions of tourism and tourism environment.Soil erosion caused by tourism unreasonable development has reduced the quality of tourist landscape and environmental in the island,in which we must pay great attention to it.The article takes the Meizhoudao Island as an example and analyses the current situation of soil erosion and its impact on the development of tourism there.The principle of soil and water conservation and the measures such as vegetative,engineering,policy and others of the six specific aspects are put forward.The positive cycle that is "the tourism promotes the soil and water conservation,the soil and water conservation promotes the tourism" will be realized.
