Abstract：China is one of the countries damaged by serious mountain disasters.Frequent mountain disasters has caused tremendous losses to the people and the country.Through the analysis of the disaster situation and reason of the giant flash flood and debris flow disaster which happened in Zhouqu County in Gannan autonomous prefecture in Gansu Province on August 7,2010,this paper expounds the problems in the warning and management of mountain hazards in our country at present,such as the low precision of investigation,poor information management,and disaster warning technology,inadequate disaster response system.With the detailed analysis of the problems above,several suggestions such as: improving the testing precision,researching about detailed investigation and risk management of geological disasters,establishing and managing disaster information sharing platform and improving the disaster response system are put forward.
