Abstract: 【Purpose/significance】This paper quantitatively evaluates the new think tank policy with Chinese characteristics, in order to provide theoretical support and decision-making reference for the formulation and improvement of think tank policies in the future. 【Method/process】Based on the think tank policy texts promulgated by the central government and relevant departments, this paper constructs a think tank policy PMC index model based on text mining and combines the characteristics of the content of new think tank policies with Chinese characteristics, and uses the model to quantitatively evaluate six of the policies.【Result/conclusion】The study showed that 1 of the 6 selected policies was excellent, 3 were good, 2 were acceptable, and there were no bad policies. The overall quality performance of the new think tank policy with Chinese characteristics is reasonable, but there is still some room for improve⁃ ment, and suggestions for policy improvement are put forward on this basis.【Innovation/limitation】This paper pioneers the construc⁃ tion of a new type of think tank policy quantitative evaluation index system with Chinese characteristics, and future research will fur⁃ ther expand the data source and research scope, and improve the scientificity and practicability of policy evaluation.
