Abstract:

【Purpose/significance】 By analyzing the content and interaction of COVID-19 vaccine information disseminated on differ⁃
ent social platforms, we propose countermeasures and suggestions for improving the dissemination rate of health information in order to
promote users' understanding of COVID-19 vaccine.【Method/process】 The study firstly collected COVID-19 vaccine information on
TikTok and Weibo and counted the distribution of information release. Secondly, we used Top2Vec modeling to identify the topics on
the two platforms, and identified the evolution patterns of different topics based on the topic popularity. Finally, we used Granger time
series test to explore the interaction of the same topics discussed on the two platforms and analyzed the characteristics of related infor⁃
mation content.【Result/conclusion】 The results show that the participation rate of the Weibo platform is higher than TikTok, and the
topics discussed in TikTok and Weibo were not exactly the same. For the topics of "vaccination under abnormal conditions" and "vac⁃
cine effectiveness", there is a interaction effect between the TikTok and Weibo platforms. In addition, for the discussion of the topics of
"vaccine research and development" and "vaccination status", changes in the TikTok platform caused fluctuations in Weibo. At the
same time, countermeasure suggestions for differentiated communication were proposed based on the research results and platform
characteristics.【Innovation/limitation】 The study creatively discussed the interaction rules between two social media users on the
topic of COVID-19 vaccine information discussion, but the existing interaction analysis is only based on the discussion on time series.
In the future, the research sample will be expanded and further explored from multiple perspectives.
