Abstract: 【Purpose/significance】This study focuses on the phenomenon of algorithm anxiety of users in the process of using informa⁃tion systems, and explores the connotation and structural dimensions of users' perceived algorithm anxiety, in order to promote the quantitative research of algorithm anxiety.【Method/process】Based on user interview data and online comment data, this study uses grounded theory coding to construct the user perception algorithm anxiety in information systems.【Result/conclusion】Algorithm anxi⁃ety includes six dimensions: algorithm discrimination anxiety, algorithm hegemony anxiety, algorithm addiction anxiety, algorithm quality anxiety, algorithm failure anxiety, and algorithm security anxiety.【Innovation/limitation】This study constructs a structural di⁃mension of algorithmic anxiety. In future research, we will further develop a measurement scale for algorithm anxiety and use the scale
to study algorithm anxiety in different user groups.
